Sam Anthony, Creative Director
Sam Anthony is an executive producer with almost 25 years of experience. From his first job making tea as an intern on Good Morning America to his present role as Creative Director of Sundog Pictures, his career has taken him all over the world, including two years in Los Angeles, and he has produced documentary, factual entertainment, and features programmes, as well as feature length documentaries and a host of branded content. He was a director of RDF Media for four years, Controller of factual programmes for ITV Yorkshire, and Creative Director, Factual at Shine Productions, as well as working as an executive producer at both Renegade Pictures, where he created the first series of international hit Don’t Tell The Bride, and Nutopia Productions, working with Jane Root to establish the company in their first year. For 3 years he was part of the BBC factual commissioning team, with special responsibility for enabling and expanding the independent sector in Scotland, and working as executive producer on a huge range of programming across all four BBC Channels, including multi-award nominees and winners like Welcome To Lagos, Poor Kids, and Terry Pratchett: Choosing To Die. In 2012 Sam left the BBC to join start-up Sundog Pictures, as Creative Director, a new kind of content production company, incorporating television, feature documentary and branded content under one roof.
