Rachel Hooper, Head of Development Erica Starling Productions

Rachel Hooper is an award-winning producer with 20 years experience across radio, TV and film. She started as a journalist for the BBC in Belfast, covering the end of the conflict and the Good Friday Agreement. She then ran the BBC network radio documentary department and during that time won a number of awards including the UN Correspondent award for a documentary about blood diamonds in Sierra Leone. She left the BBC in 2010 to work as a freelance producer for a number of indies, before joining Erica Starling as a producer and Head of Development. She has recently finished a feature arts doc,  Leonora Carrington: The Lost Surrealist for BBC4,  and is about to start work on another feature doc, Out in the Cold, for BBC3. In 2016 she won an RTS award for Find Me A Family, a series about children in care.

Harriet Palmer
