Victoria Powell, Indielab Founder

Indielab’s founder Victoria Powell leads the organisation.  She founded Indielab Accelerator in 2015 to boost growth for TV indies and open up new routes to investment.

Victoria also leads Indielab Consultancy, a business she has founded with Jonathon Kemp, previous CFO at Shed Media.  The consultancy works directly with indies to help them enable growth in their businesses and access investment.

Previously Victoria co-founded and grew her own successful television production company V Good, producing programmes from Channel 4, BBC, Sky, ITV and Five before selling the business. Her experience of growing and selling a TV production company gives her a clear understanding of the creative process, commercial needs and the key success factors for indies.

Victoria has also served as a strategic adviser to the Shadow Minister for Media and Communications, working on the response to the Leveson Inquiry and the Communications White Paper.

She has recently been a member of the Creative Industries Council ‘Access to Finance’ committee, a joint group set up between the DCMS and the Creative Industries.
