Liz Warner, Founder Betty
Warner founded prod co Betty on a bedrock of contemporary documentaries and grew its into one of Televisual’s Top 30 indies. She is an RTS, BAFTA and Emmy winner.
CEO of 18m turnover company, she managed year on year organic growth for ten years before selling Betty to Discovery networks – the first purchase of a content company for the global network. She managed integration and continued growth and left the indie last year with its fullest order book of series ranging from Bear Grylls’ Mission Survive and Heston to George Clarkes’s Ugly House and the award winning Undateables.
Previously Channel 4 commissioning editor responsible for BAFTA winner Grand Designs, River Cottage, Nigella, Location Location Location a raft of features series -one off documentaries and the original Big Brother.
Warner believes in creative leadership, having a strong company ethos and in the slow dollar not the quick buck. She is passionate about social mobility and social enterprise and believes tv can be a force for good.

Since leaving on a non compete, warner has been mentoring BAME talent, advising stylist magazine on digital strategy, working as a start up board advisor, and doing an Business course on digital content production.
