Michael Brader, Partner Wiggin LLP

Michael is a partner and co-head of the corporate group at media law specialists, Wiggin LLP.  His principal area of expertise is in independent television production investment and M&A.

 In recent years, he has advised the sellers of indies such as Love Productions, Neal Street Productions, Mammoth Screen, Raw TV, The Garden Productions, Left Bank Pictures, Big Talk Productions, Two Four, Pulse Films, Blast! Films, Windfall Films, Firecracker Films, Betty TV and Optomen Television. He has also advised US and Australian sellers of television production businesses into the UK, as well as a number of buyers in the indie market, including Endemol (Tiger AspectTigressDarlow Smithson and Artists’ Studio) and Shine (Kudos Film & Television).

 In the last couple of years, Michael has been particularly active in advising executives on the establishment of new indies and on the funding of both new and established TV companies by a wide range of investors, with examples being Sugar Films (Sky), Fable Pictures (Sony), Full Fat TV (Fremantle), Naked Entertainment (Fremantle), Lightbox (C4 Fund), Whisper Films (C4 Fund), Monumental TV (ITV) and Possessed TV (ITV).  He has also advised investors, such as Endemol on its recent investment in Sir Lenny Henry’s Douglas Road.
