Rosemary Klein, Director The Television Affairs Consultancy
Rosemary is a specialist in the factual, entertainment and children’s genres and has worked in Business & Commercial Affairs roles since 1990 advising on production, distribution, exploitation and protection issues.
Her in-house experience includes Head of Production Contracting at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Legal Adviser on digital content for Bell Canada’s Sympatico, Head of Business Affairs at Nickelodeon UK and Senior Legal Adviser on carriage agreements at NBCU. Her consultancy experience includes Head of Factual & Kids roles at both Rights TV and Industry Media. Although a true all-rounder, she has developed a significant
specialty in structuring and advising in relation to international treaty co-productions, co-developments and joint ventures. She is a regular speaker at industry conferences including the Children’s Media Conference, the Animation Exchange and the Westminster Forum on the protection, exploitation and financing of children’s content.
Rosemary qualified as a barrister & solicitor in Canada in 1992 and as a solicitor in England in 2002. She has a BA (History) from the University of Toronto, an LLB from the University of Windsor, Ontario and a post graduate diploma in business administration. Prior to achieving her professional qualifications, she was a stage manager and company manager at the Stratford Festival in Ontario and at various regional theatre companies in Canada.
