London, 29 April 2025 – As the UK’s independent production sector continues to evolve amid shifting market dynamics, Indielab is proud to announce the 15 production companies selected for the 2025 edition of its renowned TV Accelerator, marking a decade of championing creative entrepreneurship and commercial growth across the UK.

Since its launch, Indielab’s Accelerator has supported over 165 production companies in scaling their businesses, increasing revenues, and entering new markets. With 50% of alumni led by women and 30% from diverse backgrounds, the programme is firmly rooted in a commitment to inclusion and industry plurality.

This year’s theme, ‘The Future of Content’, reflects the forward-looking ambition of the 2025 cohort – a group of dynamic companies working across scripted and unscripted genres. The selected participants are:

Acclaimed Content, Boy 313, Brilliant Trees Media, Eye Film, Grammar Productions, Hello Deer Studios, Little Venice Studios, Lonesome Pine Productions, Masssive Owl Productions, New Northern, Pirate Productions, StoryCore, Twenty Six 03, Two Rivers Media and Wiser Films.

Over 60% of this year’s cohort are based in the nations and regions – underlining Indielab’s ongoing commitment to fostering production capacity and creative excellence beyond London.

Victoria Powell, Founder and CEO of Indielab, said:

“Reaching our tenth year is a significant milestone – not just to celebrate the extraordinary companies we’ve supported, but to reaffirm our mission to help indies build sustainable, commercially successful businesses that reflect the full diversity and talent of the UK. This year’s cohort is among our most ambitious to date – future-facing, innovative, and ready to grow.”

Turton: Indies Must Be Smart, Global, and Partnership-Focused

Opening the 2025 programme, Jane Turton, CEO of All3Media, delivered a keynote that called on indies to remain agile, commercially savvy, and open to collaboration amid an increasingly competitive global landscape.

“We’re seen as a world-class production market – because of our production economy, creative brilliance and the fact that we deliver,” Turton said. “The shifts in global commissioning means indies must be bolder, leaner and more partnership-focused than ever before.”

Throughout the three-month programme, the cohort will gain access to bespoke support including masterclasses, legal and commercial clinics, expert briefings, and curated networking. The Accelerator culminates in a high-profile Showcase Day, connecting participants with leading global buyers such as Banijay Rights, BBC Studios, Off the Fence, Silverlining Rights, TVF International, Cineflix Rights, Sphere Abacus and DCD Rights.

Turton concluded:“Development is currency – and partnership is power. Indies who succeed are dogged, commercial, and ready to flex. They think globally, manage cash wisely, and build teams with complementary skills. It’s not about being the biggest – it’s about being the smartest.”
